Questionable Teachings of Islam:

                                  One Billion People Deceived

At the age of forty, Muhammad claimed to have received a revelation that would later
distinguish him as being the founder of the third Abrahamic religion. (Some Arabian tribes
trace their heritage to the Jewish prophet, Abraham, who fathered Ishmael through Hagar,
the handmaiden of Abraham's wife, Sarah. Ref: Genesis, Chapter 16)

Muhammad's wife Khadijah became the first convert to Islam and shortly afterward,
friends and relatives began to embrace the new religion, thus, comprising a small following
that would soon fall under criticism and persecution by other tribes including members of
the Quraysh. Eventually, Muhammad's small group of followers were forced to flee from
Mecca to Medina in the year 622 due to the persecution. This flight (migration) is known
as the Hijrah and came to be established as the beginning year of the Islamic calendar.

(The account of Muhammad's revelation is in the next section)

While all religions are based upon someone's interpretation and belief in a deity
or deities, Muhammad's message of Islam has become a very prominent base of faith for
the 1.6 Billion Muslims in the world today. The question is, what if Muhammad's teachings
were in fact adulterated by the proceeding translators and writers of the Qur'an, much
like what Muhammad claimed was the case in the earlier Jewish and Christian religions?
Muhammad, however, could neither read nor write, thus, the Qur'an was not compiled as
a written book until several years after his death in 632 C.E.
