Questionable Teachings of Islam:

                                  One Billion People Deceived

Throughout his prophethood, Muhammad's teachings were oratorical and his followers
were expected to commit them to memory and recite them from memory. There are some
Muslim sects that believe today's publication of the Qur'an contains many errors and are
not the true teaching of Islam. Yet, for fundamental believers, a faithful Muslim is
expected to memorize and recite the entire Qur'an. On the other hand, Muhammad was
never able to remember all of his own teachings and stated that it was Allah that made
one forget - as indicated in the following:

"Allah's Apostle heard a man reciting the Qur'an at night, and said, 'May Allah bestow His
Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such-and-such Suras,
which I was caused to forget."

        And;

"The Prophet (pbuh) said, 'Why does anyone of the people say, 'I have forgotten such-
and-such Verses (of the Qur'an)?' He, in fact, is caused
(by Allah) to forget."' (Sahih Bukhari: Vol. 6, Book 61, No. 558-559)

In yet another account, it is reported that Muhammad had been bewitched so as to
hallucinate things which he believed were actually happening:

"Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing
which he was not actually doing..."
(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 490, Narrated 'Aisha)

This should immediately bring into question many of the proclamations that were made
about Muhammad. For example: That he caused the moon to be split in half and that his
heart was purged from his body by angels who washed it and put it back into place prior
to his "Night Journey" up through seven levels of heaven. There are other questionable
statements that are covered in the topical section, "Say That Again!"
