Questionable Teachings of Islam:
One Billion People Deceived
Analyzing Islamic Theology
Part 1: Creation
This section is based on the premise that one Supreme Divine Being is responsible for
the intelligent creation of the universe and of all living things rather
than creation occurring by chance and evolution.
As we know, the three mono-theistic religions that follow this belief are Judaism,
Christianity and Islam. The fact that Muhammad proclaimed that the Islamic god, Allah,
was the same deity that Jews and Christians worship calls for a theological comparison
to see if all are in agreement. The Islamic verse states:
"We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down
to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."
(Qur'an, 029.046)
The verse is actually intended for Muslims to avoid a debate with Jews and Christians
whom Muhammad referred to as "People of the Book." Yet, how can anyone tell if they
worship the same god that someone else does unless they compare the beliefs that each
have been taught?
If it is true that Allah is the same deity that Jews and Christians believe in, there should
be no discrepancy in regard to the accounts of how God created the universe and life
upon the earth. Therefore, by comparing a few examples of Creationism as taught within
the three religions, one will be able to know whether the Islamic god, Allah, is the same
deity as taught by Jewish and Christian faiths.
