Questionable Teachings of Islam:
One Billion People Deceived
Muslims are forbidden to trust Jesus as their High Priest and mediator to God and are only
to call upon Allah, as stated in the Qur'an:
"Nor call on any other, other than Allah; Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou
dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong."
(Qur'an:010.106)
While the Islamic text threatens Muslims that they will be among the "wrongdoers" if they
were to call on Jesus to be their High Priest and mediator, the
New Testament proclaims that Jesus is the Mediator and High Priest between God and
mankind:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
(1 Timothy 2:5)
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more
perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by
the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (Hebrews 9:11-12)
Islam teaches that Jesus was sent by Allah as a "messenger" to the Jewish people and
that he informed the Jews that another Messenger by the name of Ahmed (Muhammad)
would appear:
"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger
of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings
of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad...'" (Qur'an:061.006)
Contrary to the above text from the Qur'an, the following New Testament account
indicates that Jesus warned of false prophets that would come afterward:
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which
testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour
from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my
Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will
receive. (John 5:39-43)
"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." (Mt 24:11)
